Superior men are modest in speech but exceed in actions.

December 2010
From time to time I decide I want to do something I’ve been avoiding like going through all the stuff thrown into my hallway closet.
The only problem with that is I do things like scattering all this stuff all over the place and now it’s a mess and I’m sort of over this task.
So time to catch up on everything on the DVR? I think yes.

Current status: trying to talk my parents into getting a dog. We lost Copper over a year ago, he was with us for 15 years, and with out him the house feels sort of empty. I know that no dog will ever replace Copper but I think it would be a good addition to the home again. Maybe if I get dad another glass of wine this chat will go better.

I will reblog this all day.
Ten in Ten
frageelay:
I’m calling a year-end meme. Hate year-end recaps? Don’t play along. Simple. Ready?
List ten things you learned in 2010 by 11:59 your time, NYE. Tag it ‘teninten’ or the more elegant ‘10in10.’
Go.
Sure, I mean why not right? Someone remind me to do this today.
My family on the iPad
Gramps: (Playing angry birds) This is addictive, I thought solitaire on my iMac made me waste time, but with this I'd never get any work done.
Mom: I know I played it for two hours last night!
Gramps: Hey Colin, guess what? I just beat your high score with only 2 birds used.
Tough love at the Curtis house.
Dad: what's your favorite Christmas eve memory?
Me: remember that time you didn't talk?
(mom starts cracking up)
Dad: that's not even funny.

Current status: Dad and I sitting silently in the car playing on our iPhones as mom runs into the store.
Not sure which is worse, the fact that mom left us in the car or that we are sitting silence.
